Our energy is focused on improving quality of life, perpetuating positive attitudes, and embracing the challenges life places before us with grace, respect, and compassion.
Our catalyst to consistently rise to new heights is a combination of perpetual learning, measurement of success, looking through the eyes of those we serve, and listening with our hearts, which causes us to pause and discover what is really important in each situation.

Our Vision
Noonday Home Care came to be as a result of our commitment to improve the quality of life of the people we serve. Each of our principals has experienced the need for home care for a loved one. We understand what truly matters and how important compassion is in finding fresh starts and new beginnings. It is that desire to share the freedom of new beginnings that drives the team at Noonday Home Care.
There are many home care agencies in the marketplace. On the outside, they all look pretty much the same. It is the inside that matters – the culture. We have set out to distinguish ourselves through the selection of our employees, the client-focused training of our highly skilled caregivers, and the value-based leadership practices of our management.

We ease the burdens of daily life by providing personalized care with a compassionate and gentle touch. Our goal is to be the leading home care agency, offering our clients and their loved ones the dignity, respect, honor, and loyalty they deserve.
Noonday Home Care is a family-owned and privately operated business, founded by Lakisha Lathan-Truesdale, M.A., CCC-SLP, CCM, and Temeika Nicole Lathan. As a nationally certified speech-language pathologist with almost 25 years of experience with both pediatric and adult populations, Lakisha specializes in addressing communication, swallowing, and cognitive challenges, improving the overall quality of life and independence for clients. She understands the importance of feeling secure and safe in the comfort of home and is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fullest potential.
As an educator of over 20 years, Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as she educates and fosters independence in people of all ages with various abilities, especially those on the spectrum. As a military veteran, Nicole can assist and guide families in securing VA benefits for themselves or their loved ones.
We know that inviting someone new into your home can be a challenging experience, which is why we prioritize providing the highest quality of service and care. Our staff undergoes thorough screening to ensure the utmost trust and safety.
Three essential questions to ask to ensure the home care company you choose has a strong set of core values
Communication
Will I be able to easily communicate with the personal attendant and have continued access to my case manager? This is the core of our approach. We believe that you should never feel there is a lack of control or communication with your personal attendant. For this reason, you are assigned a case manager who is always available.
Integrity
Has a sense of trust been established? We believe this is the key to a comfortable relationship and the well-being of the client. That’s why we carefully screen all our personal attendants.
Performance
Am I confident I will get the professional care promised and that there will be accountability and follow up? Home care is dynamic; a family’s needs can change daily. You chose home care to allow your loved one to remain independent and retain their quality of life, not to endure more paperwork and problem-solving. We make a simple promise: we will be there for your family. If you’re not satisfied, we will work with you until you are.
